I am a proud Missourian. I grew up in this state and have spent most of my life here. There is a reason that we are called the"Show Me State" and a reason that we are the state that has forecast the presidential winner every time but one since 1904. We Missourians take nothing for granted. We appreciate endorsements but aren't pigeonholed by them. We will listen to promises, but can't be won over by empty words alone. We don't vote according to prescribed lines and past precedents but weigh each candidate according to his or her merit.
A state like Missouri deserves a principled and proven candidate. One candidate makes promises and says the words that people want to hear. But there is another candidate who has a proven record of fighting for conservative principles and for the public interest, regardless of the cost. That candidate is John McCain, a candidate worthy of the votes of the people of Missouri.

While Mike Huckabee continues to play the role of Don Quixote (or is he Sancho Panza?), John McCain should concentrate on our real antagonists, Senators Obama and Clinton. I hope he emphasizes the former, because it's looking as if Obama will get the nomination.
Recently, Sharon sent out the FoxNews picture of an Obama office with a Cuban/Che Guevara flag. Of course, Obama's aversion to the American flag is well-known. Obama is the farthest Left candidate ever to run for President (Howard Dean and John Edwards notwithstanding), and his relationships with George Soros and Moveon.org will be fascinating as the campaign unfolds. Barack, prepare to be in a world of hurt between now and November 4.
